Urumqi Night Market

Urumqi in Xinjiang Autonomous Province is situated in the far north west of China between Mongolia and Kazakhstan.



Urumqi is the capital of Xinjiang Province and is known for its lively night markets, when fresh produce is brought to the city from the hinterland and sold. Look out for the fresh watermelons, lamb and other local delicacies of the Uyghur minority.
