Beijing Spruced Up
The area around Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City has been spruced up in readiness for the upcoming Olympic Games in the city.
Flowers have been planted and Olympic themes are everywhere to welcome visitors to China's capital.

Weather
Temperatures are presently in the mid-30's degrees Centigrade but the skies are clear with good visibility, despite the high humidity of an Asian summer.
