Ban on smoking in Beijing taxis

Taxi drivers and their passengers will soon have to butt out! Starting in October drivers and their fare paying passengers will not be allowed to smoke in taxis.

This is yet another way the Beijing government is working to establish a smoke free Olympics. Those caught in the act will need to pay a fine of 100 to 200 yuan.
No Smoking!

The Beijing government will also prohibit smoking in Olympic areas and venues, hotels, restaurants, and public transport near the Olympic village.
